After I graduated from Concordia high school I went to college at Valparaiso University and got a degree in broadcast journaliedm. I then returned to Fort Wayne and worked at the local TV stations (channel 15, also channel 33) and in the fall of 1995 I entered Concordia Theological Seminary, also in Fort Wayne. I did one years vicarage in Bloomington Indiana in 1998 and then graduated from the seminary and was ordained at Grace English Lutheran Church in Chicago in June of 2000. About a year later I met my wife, Angela (Graves) Falconer. She had three daughters, Auburn, Morgan, and Lauren, from a previous marriage. Angela and I married in December of 2001. In January of 2004 we moved our family from Chicago to Evansville where I served as the pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church. Angela, originally from Kendalville, is a doctor of Audiology and has her own practice, Hearing Healthcare Center, in Evansville. In 2017 we started fostering three sisters, Lila, Emma and Sky. In 2019 Angela divorced me so I became a single dad of three young foster daughters. I adopted my daughters in 2021 and moved to Charlotte, MI in January of 2022 to be the Lead Pastor at First Lutheran Church.
