James R. Nelson, Teacher in Florida

FRAMINGHAM- James Robert Nelson. 38, died Sunday, August 3, 1986, at Framingham Union Hospital, after a brief illness.

         Born in Framingham, he was the son of Helen B. (Goodwin) Nelson and the late Elmer L. Nelson.

         Mr. Nelson was a resident of Key West, Florida.

         Mr. Nelson was a 1966 graduate of Framingham North High School and attended Quinsigamond Junior College and Framingham State College before entering the teaching profession in Key West.

         In Florida, he taught at the Glen Archer and Horace O’Bryan Middle Schools over a period of 15 years.

         Mr. Nelson was a member of the Lower Christ Church in Key West.

         Besides his mother, Mr. Nelson is survived by a brother, Richard L. Nelson of Canada, two sisters, Beverley J. Mathewson of Framingham and Barbara A. Smith of North Andover, and several nieces and nephews.

         Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

         Burial will be in the Nelson family lot in Edwards Cemetery in Saxonville.

         There are no visiting hours.

         Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Boyle Brothers Funeral Home, 173 Union Avenue, Framingham.
