Framingham North High School
Class Of 1966

Welcome to the Framingham North High Class Of    1966 web site.

I just found this 1965 photo that a member of our class sent me several years ago.  There were four members of our class in the Rendells...Camile Crete, Gerry Philillips, Glenn Moody and Bruce DeVoid. Sadly all all except Bruce are listed in our North High as deceased!

It was another fabulous joint North/South '66 Reunion weekend with a nice turnout from both schools.  I have posted pictures sent to me by multiple classmates from North and South.  There is also a short MP4 clip of selected photos contributed by Don Newton, South 66.

The weekend started with a small informal meet up at the bar at the Hampton Inn on Friday night.  On Saturday morning we arranged a tour of the high school.  Five current seniors walked us around the building.  The beautiful terrazo floors and the layout of the building are the same.  A nice touch is that the Gym is named in memory of Jim Carey.

Ron Reed organized a gathering at Famous Pizza in the Pinefield Shopping Center.

The main event dinner was at La Cantina with 80 people attending.  Memory books honoring North and South deceased classmates were on display as were picture boards from previous reunions.

Sunday morning there was an informal breakfast meet up at the Hampton Inn which was where most out of towners stayed.

If you get a chance click on the left side of this page and read the Class Prophecy North '66.  It includes a class history.  It is pretty entertaining but sad that many people mentioned have died.

If you have class information (take a look at the Missing Classmates link on the left) or images of class memorabilia, send them my way and I will get them posted here and add to other images that are already here.

I  found this link with a video that you might be interested in watching.  It has links for three class videos that were posted for several North High  classes.  Lots of people we knew and familiar Framingham sites.

I hope you enjoy.

Here is a video that the class of '67 from North just posted for their class reunion which was on Saturday Night October 7, 2017.  In addition to knowing some of the people from that class, there are many scenes from Framingham gone by that you may want to watch.  Also if you have not looked at it yet, there is a video I posted last year on the left on the page labeled Framingham video which you may enjoy.

Comment on our 50th Fall 2016

Wow! Wonderful job organizing the 50th reunion.  I had not been to the renovated La Cantina but it was a good venue for the event.  Between North and South there were over 160 people in attendance.  Over 60 classmates from North were there and over 80 from South.

The sentiments of the night for many were varied I am sure but hope that on balance it was filled with good memories.  I heard from quite a few people who felt that it was the best reunion we have had.

Debbie Fair posted on Facebook the folllowing which captiures a lot.  Very eloquent Debbie!

"The reunion, like much in life was bittersweet. I read the "in Memoriam" and saw the name of a boy I wasn't very nice to in high school. Why oh why wasn't I kinder? I found a picture of my first boyfriend from 1962 and when I saw him, I handed it to him. Sweet. The people who put the event together did an amazing job. Sweet again. When I saw an ex who refused to acknowledge me, I waved my fingers at him and blew him a kiss. Still need to work on that kindness thing. I I told a boy I had a crush on him in 6th grade and he replied I was the tenth girl to tell him that. A lesson in humility with quite a bit of humor. Bittersweet. A neighborhood boy told me he had loved me in elementary school but couldn't tell me. I told his wife my loss was her gain. I hugged him hard. Very sweet. A boy/man who had always been charming but readily admitted he had not been much of a student, remembered my sister(a teacher) who gave him a passing grade. A very funny friend listened as people told of enduring marriages of thirty years and more and responded if she added up all her marriages, it was about the same. All sweet. Someone went to hug me who I had long suspected cheated with a high school boyfriend and I stiffened and then decided no point carrying a grudge more than fifty years. Bitter? Not quite. Us Irish know when to forgive. . I danced with a boy I should have danced with in high school. And I danced with the man who completes my life-as one FB friend said, the "cat walker". I saw girls who were lovely in school who are still beautiful. I saw the young servers and I wanted to say, wait! Stop! If you are lucky enough, you too will someday be this age. Everyone was still 18 last night. Bittersweet. I missed those who could not be there and I was happy to see those who were. Thank you to all who greeted me, embraced me and were, well, kind. It meant a lot"
