I saw this on Facebook on July 2, 2021 posted by Leo's son. This is really sad news. Leo was a good guy and I remember him as a talented musician. Leo composed our North High '66 graduation song and was a talented barbershop quartet singer.

Hello everyone. This is Kehan reaching out to all of the wonderful friends of my father. Sadly the news is less than palatable. Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family after a sudden change in his health. Even during his final moments, he was in complete control. He went out the same way he lived his life, on his own terms. He was always his own boss. He rarely liked it when people told him what to do and honestly it was one of the most incredible qualities he passed onto me and my sister. His lessons and legacy are enormous. We knew everyday how incredible he was and how many lives he impacted. I will never forget the amazing stories he told us about all of you. He loved life and everyone so much. His love for Barbershop music is without a doubt the most inspiring thing imaginable. I don’t know if any level of dedication is comparable to the love he had for that genre of music. He educated me on so much on all the different barbershop quartets and choruses. So many stories I will never forget as long as I live. I take solace in the fact that we got an extra five years with him after his health issues first started because he almost passed away then. It was truly a miracle. Just know that if you are reading this and you loved Leo, he loved you more. Or as he would say it to me and my sister, “I love you best”. The last thing he would want would be us to wallow in sadness because of his loss. He would want all of us to celebrate his life by living the best life we can. Thank you all for the love and support you showed my Dad and us over the many years he was here. He will never be forgotten.
We would like the services to be a celebration of his life....his final afterglow. We encourage those attending to wear bright colors to celebrate his legacy. He would want us to remember him in the style he lived his life.
Family and friends will honor and remember Leo’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Wednesday, July 7th from 4-7 P.M. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning in St. George Church, 74 School St. Saxonville at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Thank you for reading and much love to all those who loved him. ❤️"
Rest in Peace Leo.
