Brenda Cole's Story

 

Funeral services for Brenda Cole Fitzgerald, 66 of Palestine, will be held 10:00 AM Friday, July 6, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Horine and Rev. Lynn Stroud officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.
Mrs. Fitzgerald passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born November 15, 1951, in Lake Jackson, TX, to Lewis Cole and Billie Ruth Gracey. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Masters in teaching. She taught school at Westwood, Elkhart and was a substitute at Cayuga, then working at the post office in Montalba. She was a loving, caring Christian lady.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Lisa Fitzgerald, and one brother Scott Cole. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Hunter Fitzgerald, sons; Bryan Fitzgerald, Kevin Fitzgerald, and Brandon Fitzgerald and wife Maeghan, sister Margaret Wright and husband Raymond, nieces Erin Fitzgerald and Jennifer Fitzgerald.
Pallbearers will be Joey Fitzgerald, Jared Fitzgerald, Bobby Fitzgerald, Randal Wright, Roger Wright, Darby Fitzgerald, and Matt Beckendorf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Friendship Baptist Church.
Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

I am sorry to learn of Brenda's passing. We were in youth group together and the same Sunday School class. On Tuesday morning's we would meet at church for prayer breakfast and then go to her house to catch the bus to go to school. She was a sweet friend.
