Children: | I have the pleasure of being the mother to 2 of the most incredible young women I have ever known!! More…My oldest daughter Hala, is the mother to my 10 year old grandson Isaiah and my 3 year old Granddaughter Violet, She is a Sales Associate for Farmers Furniture in Seneca South Carolina. My youngest daughter Katie is a Corpral in the US Marine Corps and a former whitewater rafting guide and zipline operator. Hala was born in August of 1982 and Katie came December of 1987. I can say without reservatioin that these young ladies have saved my life and given me a purpose and love I never thought possible!! They hung with me while divorced, I put myself through Nursing School. They NEVER questioned why I was doing it so I guess they just knew it would be the best thing for all of us!! I hope yall get a chance to meet my incredible, BEAUTIFUL and of course, AMAZING daughters!!! |

Well, when I graduated, I went to Montreat-Anderson College in Montreat NC where I learned to drink and do drugs. Shocker huh!!! Nice little Christian College!! Well, it happens. When I flunked out, I moved to Raleigh and started working at Rex Hospital. Ya might say that started me thinking about nursing. It took me a few years, but Mom has always said I was born a nurse, it just took me a few years to get my license!! I worked at Rex until a couple of months before Hala was born in 1982. I had had a few problems, minor thank God, but I stopped there in June before she was born. Mohammed and I (my Thank you GOD EX HUSBAND) and I moved to Greensboro when she was 4 months old. I went to work at Moses Cone Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit. I stayed there until Katie was 3 months old, then packed up my girls and left Mohammad and moved to South Carolina. Thats where I went to Nursing School and worked there until 1995 when I moved to Toccoa Georgia and started working in Labor and Delivery. I met and married Mike Kubes in 1997 and moved to Warner Robins Ga. We didn't make it so I left and moved to Knoxville Tennessee where I started Travel Nursing in 2003. (Oh and I started working in the Operating Room in 1999). I have traveled all over this country and have seen some of the most beautiful things you can imagine!! I met Lonnie when I was working on Cape Cod and he was visiting his son in Costa Rica....(Long Story). We have been together almost 8 years and married for a year and a half and I feel like I have FINALLY found MY man!! We plan to raise Goats and make cheese and soaps and raise chickens and rabbits as well as a garden and fruit trees. I am lucky to still have my mother who is now 88 now!! As many of you know, my Dad passed away 3 years ago after a long illness. I am SO looking forward to this 40th year reunion! Who knew we would make it this far!!
