Dexter Godzik asked me to enter this antidote about Ron.

I lived near Ron off and on while growing up. He was the strongest kid I've ever known. As a kid he always worked with his father . His job was to remove the bark from the logs his father cut for wood pulp (used to make paper). He would swing a 4 foot axe all day. He was by far the best fast pitch softball pitcher as a 14 year old in the Gowanda league made up of all adults. I was told that after he became an adult he was such a dominating pitcher that his team always won. That led to the fast pitch league folding and going to slow pitch.
