Anita Lynn Gillispie (Snotherly)

From the Greensboro newspaper: "Mrs. Anita Lynn Gillispie Snotherly, 44, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at Beacon Place of Greensboro, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Lynn was born March 10, 1960, in Alamance County, the daughter of Robert Worth Gillispie and Glenda Southard Gillispie. She graduated from Page High School in 1978, and Appalachian University in 1982. Mrs. Snotherly was self-employed as a real-estate broker, a very active member of Alamance Presbyterian Church, in her community, and many civic and political organizations. She was also a current board member for SABIS. Mrs. Snotherly was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Robert Worth Gillispie Jr. and her father-in-law, Mr. Woody Snotherly. Surviving Lynn is her husband, Darrell of the home; children, Ashlynn and Austin also of the home; mother, Glenda Southard Gillispie of Burlington; sisters, Debbie Van Fleet and husband, Glenn of Burlington, Karen Davis and husband, Bennie of Asheboro; brother Barry Gillispie and wife, Tracey of Archdale; brother-in-law, Farrell Snotherly and wife, Dawn of Wilmington; extended sisters, Regina Warren and Judy Frohnaple; nephews, David Snotherly, Ryan Van Fleet, Benny Davis, Jacob Davis, Jordan Gillispie, and Dominic Gillispie; nieces, Ashley King, and Lauren and Erin Van Fleet." She is buried in the Alamance Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Lynn died of breast cancer on Oct. 22, 2004, per information friend just told me.

Lisa Whitley (Chestnutt)

Lynn was a great girl and a real friend. Here is another example of a wonderful person dying way to soon.
