In my early days at Grimsley Sally was one of my best friends.  She was as sweet, as she was beautiful.  I had some fun times with her at school, as well as after school.  Sally gave me a beautiful Persian cat, which I loved for many years.  I was so happy to see her at our 25th Grimsley reunion, and so saddened to see that she has now passed.  She will be one of my great high school memories.

Susan, I too, consider myself a

friend of Sally's.  We started at OLOG together.  She was everything you said and more.  A true friend.  Over the years, I moved to the coast and lost touch with Sally.  Did you know what caused her death?  Thanks for the comments.

Rita,  I don't know what caused her death.  I have tried to find out, but have not found an answer as yet.  Hopefully, someone who knows can post the information.

Hi Rita  I believe Sally developed diabetes and that it contributed to her death....I couldn't find her obit, though I remember seeing it at the time.  I last saw her in the '90s and she was her same smiling self.  I think she had two children with her, but couldn't swear to it.

Remember our 8th grade OLG trip to Raleigh?  Sally had brought some mercury and when she rolled it around in her hand, it had some chemical reaction with her rings!  Whatever nun or parent was there was not amused.  She had that ability to get the nuns' habits in a wad.

I think Sally died in 2007.
