Don died on December 8, 2006, after a long battle with Hepatitis. He and I were only aquaintances until after college when we became lifelong best friends. Don was proudly out of step from the norm and always found alterntatives to boredom. He was the Park Ranger at the Greensboro City park off of Battleground Drive for many years. He left behind a legacy of creativity and loyalty that his many friends will always cherish.
Jerry, your comments about Don jogged my memory. I befriended him when he was the the ranger at Hagen Stone when he and his family lived there before going to Battleground. Had no idea that we had been at Grimsley together until your comment. What a curious realization.
