Anne Wofford Wade

Graduated from Meridith College & Married High school Sweetheart Joe Kirkman. Spent our early years in Germany while Joe was in Air Force. Came back to Greensboro in 1958 and at that time Joe took over his family business. Was a Soccer Mom, Cheerleader Mom, PTA worker, etc until kids grew up and then I became a volunteer with many Greensboro organizations as well as our Church and Moses Cone Hospital. I especially enjoyed being the Greensboro Symphony Guild Administrative Assistant for 15 years, at which time I learned computers. Without that job I probably would not know even now how to even turn one on! Joe died in 1988. Met an old High School friend - Bert Wade- at our 40th Class Reunion and guess what? We were married in Jamaica in 1995! I believe I have the honor(?) of being the only gal to have married two guys from from the GSH Class of 1950!

I really enjoyed being in Miss Tuttle's Choir, working for Mr. Routh in his office, being in the Dramatic Club, being in the Le Seours Club, and gosh so many many friends and parties and fun. The trip to Washington, the Club trips to Ocean Drive and so very much more.
