Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of
Denise Ann Shepherd Boldery

Denise Ann Shepherd Boldery, age 50, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on September 20, 1966 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Kenneth Delano and Doris Jean Roberts Shepherd. She resided all of her life in Hanover and was a 1984 graduate of Southwestern High School. She received her licensed practical nursing degree from Ivy Tech in 1990. She was united in marriage to James E. Boldery and this union was blessed with sons, James Lee and Tanner Aaron. Denise was employed with King's Daughter Hospital and Health Services as a LPN. She began her 19 year career with Dr. Hossler, Dr. Weiser, Dr. James Jackson and the last nine years with Dr. George Alcorn. Denise loved being a nurse and gave of her time and talents with all of her being. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, camping, sewing, making barn quilts, woodcrafts, and mushroom hunting. Denise had met her true love Jay McClain and they were engaged on June 22, 2015 with a wedding date set for September 30, 2017. She was a faithful member of the New Life Fellowship Church in Madison and was on the Rapid Response Team at King's Daughters'. Denise was a devoted daughter, loving mother, sister and friend. She loved her dog, Hoss and her late cat, Taz. Denise will be remembered for her true friendship, her devotion to her patients, her award winning smile and her twinkling eyes. Denise died on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 12:15 p.m. at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky after suffering a sudden aneurysm and stroke.

Denise will be missed by her loving mother, Doris Roberts Shepherd Kroger of Hanover, Indiana; her loving fiancé, Jay McClain of Versailles, Indiana; her loving sons, James Lee Boldery and his fiancé, Allison Kollmann of Hanover, Indiana, Tanner Aaron Boldery of Hanover, Indiana; her grandchildren, Addiline and Bryson; her step son, Dalton McClain of Dillsboro, Indiana; her loving brother, Kenneth Brian Shepherd and his wife, Kristi of Hanover, Indiana; her step brothers, Ronald C. Kroger, Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Hanover, Indiana, Thomas E. Kroger and his wife, Patricia of Lakeland, Florida; her uncles and aunts, Linda & Benny Means of Lexington, Indiana, Brenda & Kenny Cornelius of Lexington, Indiana, Jim and Marge Shepherd of Madison, Indiana, Larry and Brenda Shepherd of Hanover, Indiana, Bess and Sam Cutshall of St. Cloud, Florida; numerous cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Delano "Shep" Shepherd died October 30, 2008, her step father, Ronald C. Kroger, Sr. died November 15, 2003, her step sister, Terry Eldridge, her grandparents, Joe B. Roberts and Martin T. and Kathryn Gassert Shepherd, her uncles, Virgil Robert, Dwight Roberts, Marvin Shepherd, Billy Joe Shepherd and Norman T. Shepherd, and her cousin, De De Cutshall.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 11:00 am, by Pastor Scott Kollmann at the New Life Fellowship Church, 1542 Clifty Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery near Hanover, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may call Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the New Life Fellowship Church, 1542 Clifty Drive in Madison, Indiana.

MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS

Allen Davidson

It's been a couple of years since I had last seen Denise and I will always remember her as a kind person who always had good things to say to me, and pretty much everyone else.  She had a gentle spirit and will be very much missed by all of us who knew her.
