The Rest of the Story:
Frank Capra couldn't have said it better, It has been a "wonderful life" - for me anyway. I got bit by the ROTC bug while attending high school - was awarded an ROTC scholarship in college and served 10 years as a military officer before returning to Edinboro University for my master's degree in education. I've lived in California, Massachusetts, Texas, Virginia, Germany. As a young girl prone to car sickness and adament about never traveling as an adult, I never dreamed my life would take me to so many different cities and countries - have seen all the notables - London, Paris, Rome even chipped some of the Berlin Wall when it came down in 1989. Still, my favorite memory came September 12, 1990 when I got to shake Stevie Nicks' hand during a Fleetwood Mac concert I attended in Munich. To this day I thank my high school buddy, Sharon Haise, for sharing her copy of RUMOURS with me - the MAC remains my favorite band of all time! These days I'm living the "9 to 5" life as an administrative assistant to a small management office at the Chesterfield Towne Center. The only "little one" I have at home is our 12 year old cat, Tiger. Dean and I love to travel - it is wonderful living two hours from DC, two hours from the mountains, two hours from the ocean. My dad's death this past summer is my saddest recent memory. A day hasn't passed that I haven't thought of him. My family and friends have been a God send and truly are "the best things I know".
Christmas 2009 - Got THE phone call from my youngest - it's official - I'm on my way up to New England next January for a "vintage winter wedding" - hope Mother Nature cooperates - we'll be driving - my hubby hates to fly!
