I finally fulfilled one of my dreams. I toured nationally with a band. Even though it was a Tejano band and NOT a Rock band like I wanted, I still had a blast. Met and hung out with a few celebrities. Including George Lopez and Paul Rodriquez just to name a few. We were nominated for 3 awards at the Tejano Music Awards in 2002. Didn't win, but at least we were nomintated. Our female singer went on and got a recording cotract with Selena's father (Abraham Quintanilla) and she is still on tour known as "Sesi" and is on her 3rd album. I recorded on the first. After the awards, I decided it was time to be home more.
I have worked at National Home Health Care since 1997 and am now working on my certification as a Rehab Technology Professional. I have been a Tech for about 4 years now.
I also DJ on the weekends at a small club here in Amarillo and I also do private parties occasionally.

I mostly remember my band almost causing a riot in Koobraey and the teachers had to cut off all the power because the crowd was going nuts. Still have the video. We played "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and "Rock n' Roll All Nite". |
