Last time I ran into Rich was an evening I was dispatched to a complaint of a live band at Temple Beth El in Northbrook. As I arrived, I noticed that one of the members of the band was Rich! We took a few moments chatting since the band stopped at the sight of my squad car. The noise levels were within acceptable limits at the time, so I said to keep rockin'---the band was quite good. I was sorry to hear of Rich's passing and my belated condolences to his family and many friends.
