After graduating a semester early from high school I pretty much high-tailed it out of Hood River. Spent the first several years living in Eugene getting my B.S. degree in Geology with a Spanish minor. Took a year off between LCC and UO for a solo backpacking trip in South America. Took another year off after graduating with my B.S. to go to D.C. for an internship and figure out my next step. That next step ended up being Grad School in New Mexico where I got my M.S. in Hydrogeology and spent quite a bit of time working on my thesis project in Nicaragua. After graduating with my M.S. in May 2006, I took another year off for extensive travel and play while I sought work internationally (email me if you want the link to my travel website as I don't want to send it to everyone). I tried living/working in Singapore for a few months but it wasnt a good fit so I returned to the USA. I have been working as a hydrogeologist at an environmental consulting firm in downtown Portland for the past year and have actually decided to settle down here (at least for the time being.) I just bought my first home and my boyfriend and I moved in a couple months ago. Apart from my job I have been volunteering with Engineers without Borders and serving as a mentor to PSU students who are organizing projects in Nicaragua.
