Patty Lampe Becker

Let's see, attended UAH. Left in the middle of my sophomore year to move to Wisconsin (where I had lived before moving to Huntsville in 7th grade) for a "little" while. Ended up staying. I married in 1994 and had my first child in 1996. Started getting paid for photography jobs in 1998. Had baby #2 in 2000. Divorced in 2002. Remarried in 2004 and gained 3 children (their bio-mom passed away in 1999). Nick and I had a baby in 2005, making our Brady Bunch complete-3 girls, 3 boys. I still take photo jobs here and there, manage a 3-flat apartment building that I've owned for 11 years, help out at school, lead Girl Scouts, remain active in my church, work a very limited part-time job, and try to just keep track of where everyone is at any given moment. I'm married to my best friend. Our life is a bit chaotic, but his support gets me through each day.

I've really enjoyed seeing all of the photos of the beautiful families and am looking forward to seeing my old friends. I haven't been to Huntsville in 6 years and I'm excited to show my kids and husband where I spent my teen years! We'll be driving over 700 miles with 8 people in one minivan....wish me luck!!!

Pep rallies--I remember that as freshman, our class did not take abuse from the upper classmen and fought back when they tried to degrade us. Our dance team was awesome---go girls!

Getting to watch a video of some made-for-tv movies in the basketball locker room while we did each other's hair because our PE teacher was too busy to deal with a bunch of girls.

Having to borrow Mark Worthy's glasses during Driver's Ed for road practice. I lost a contact before class and was blind as a bat!

Mrs. Matthews, I think that's the right name....she would sing our lessons to us a lot of the time and called us Miss or Mister, then our first name. I remember if you were late, she'd say, "Oh, you're early for tomorrow!"

Thinking that my friends and I were very creative by using the excuse of "religious ceremony" whenever we wanted to check out early. I would lose it if my kids pulled anything like that!

Having to finish my Accounting project on two Saturdays because I missed two weeks of school during the last month before graduation. My dad had a heart attack and I stayed home to care for him during the day.

A crazy riot sort of thing in the halls one day. No idea what that was about.

Losing some of our fellow students during our high school years and questioning our own mortality. So sad.
