Scott Travis

My journalism career began at Grissom. I was an editor for the Imprint, the school newspaper. Then I was on the Crimson White at Bama. After that, I did this tour of small Southern towns (Natchez, Miss., Hattiesburg, Miss. and Lumberton and Fayetteville, N.C.) before finding the place I love being: South Florida. The weather is great, the scenery is nice and never a shortage of things to do. If only I got paid more!

At Grissom, I was known for being writing and editing at the Imprint school newspaper, acting in a number of school plays and telling awful jokes. One of my most humiliating experiences was applying to be on the Invictus yearbook staff. They asked me to sing, and then didn't select me! I also wrote a school column about how I couldn't find a date for prom. I was such a closet case.
