Attended Tech for about a year after high school but didn't have much motivation having my major as undecided. Tried electrical school, but at that time there was not a whole lot of construction in Lubbock, and all the journeymen electricians said that i would have to travel alot to find work and i was not up for that. Worked at TTUHSC for a couple of years. Married my wonderful wife, Monica in '95. Delivered Beer for five years, then became an independent contractor for Fedexground. Of course when i started Fedexground fuel was about 99 cents a gallon but kept increasing as i drove over 300 miles a day on my delivery route, and couldnt seem to keep my delivery van out of the shop. So making money wasnt too bad, but keeping the money to make a living was a bit difficult! Started delivering big freight for Averitt express and been there since. God blessed me with five wonderful children between all those jobs and although i have attended church all my life, within the last seven years or so my wife and i have matured our relationship with Jesus Christ and have a great marriage as a result. Monica teaches pre-k sunday school and i try to help out with the choir at St Philips Catholic Church(i said TRY). Reside in Idalou, of course and have been a school board trustee for four years. I know that may be hard to believe, but remember, i have five kids that will attend Idalou ISD and i am doing my best to lead them on a better educational path than what i took. I know some people couldnt wait to leave Idalou, but it really is a wonderful place to raise a family, with a great school! Not too much excitement in my life, but i have been blessed!
