Since high school . . . . In March of 1993, I married a wonderful and Godly man, Kent Boyd. I was told that I would never be able to have children, but God had different plans. In March of 1994, 3 days before our 1 year wedding anniv. Nathan, "Nate", was born. Then, in April of 1997, Kinsey Elizabeth was born; in November of 2000, Carrington Morgan was born; and in May of 2003 Jonathan Patrick was born. We are wanting to adopt a child either from Russia, China, or India sometime over the next several years. The 6 BEST things Ive ever done in my life is: #1 Becoming a Christian, #2 Marrying the love of my life, and #'s 3, 4, 5, and 6 Giving birth to my four beautiful children. I have been a stay at home mom for a little over 15 years. I am working this year with emotionally disturbed children and am the assistant theater director at Levelland Middle School. Our theater group won 1st place in the UIL One Act Play Competition. We are performing "Phantom of the Opera" this spring. I have resigned from this job and May 30th will be my last day. When I was 14 years old I surrendered my life to mission work. I put that dream aside to start my family. Then in 2005, I went to St. Petersburg, Russia for 2 weeks to work in the orphanges. It was amazing!!!! I realized that I needed to reaffirm my commitment to God to do His work. So, I am taking a huge step of faith and resigning from my job so that I will be available for any mission work He may call me to do. He has already opened up several mission opportunities for me this summer and I know He will continue to open up even more opportunities for me. I am so very excited about these opportunities and feel very blessed to work on the mission field. My husband Kent, is the Director of Business Services for all the Levelland Schools. He is the biggest Tech fan you will ever meet. He supports my passion for missions and is very excited with what the Lord is already doing. We just got back from an anniv. trip to Las Vegas. We had a blast! Nate, a freshman in high school, is already looking at colleges. His first choice is Colorado Christian University. He plans on majoring in praise and worship leadership and minoring in youth ministry. He doesn't know it, yet, but he is about to have an incredible opportunity open up for him. He leads the praise and worship in our youth group at church. He and I auditioned for the Continental Singers, a traveling Christian ensemble. We both made it and was asked to join, but at this time it would be impossible to travel with them. Kinsey has been saying that she wants to be a vet since she was 5 years old. Her daddy is really wanting her to go to Oklahoma because the thought of an aggie in the family makes him shudder! HAHA Carrington makes friends everywhere she goes. She has a personality that just lights up a room. She also wants to be a vet. Jonathan was born missing fingers on his right hand. It was just one of those things that happens, no reason for it. But, you wouldn't know it. He is very independent. Don't ever try and tell him that he can't accomplish something because of his hand, he will definitely prove you wrong. There isn't a sport out there that he doesn't love. My whole family is excited to see what the Lord has instore for the Boyd family over the next 20 years.
