So many quality people to remember. Many classmates did not make it back from Vietnam. Paul Dill, Harold Poole, Obie Mckenzie ,sports guys went on to international fame and fortune. Forget-me-not:
has to be George Gale who was then Dean of Boys. The "stare down" one got each morning never a greeting. (Ugh!)
Otherwise, the Sports guys were the stars: Attending parties, immaculate dress,driving cars as classy as the teaching staff.

Finally, if every High School has the Shortridge Model:Academics, Sport, Arts,Diversity rare for the
era. Having no doubts the world could be even a better place for all.

Looking at the Year book,it is apparent why the Seniors had all the fame and fun.
They excelled in Sport, had the spotlight in Basketball and Football and like Rock Stars
acted the part.

One "star" last scene in a Family Living Class had his name called so often(to answer test questions) it was as if no other people in the class. So the teachers had "the fever" by recognizing The Lettermen (stars).

We had Paul Dill square off with Harald Poole in a Heavy weight wrestling match in the Shortridge
Gym . The screams were so loud, amazing the roof held. Ending with Driving Ed Class:
The new car donated by Bud Wolf Auto was so ,powerful and smooth a V-8 after 50 cars
later never found another like that year 1958 Model.
