I graduated from Cornell College with a degree in art and secondary education. I also played soccer and ran track for Cornell. I got married right after college and started teaching art at Highland Middle and high school in Riverside, Iowa. Our first son Baylor was born in August of 2005 and Brody in 2007 then I quit teaching to stay home and raise them. I design fabric on the side and play my cornet in the Eastern Iowa Brass Band.
