Upon graduating from K-Central, I got my elementary teaching degree from WMU in 1992. I got my first teaching job in Quincy, Michigan in 1993 and have been teaching Young Fives/Kindergarten there ever since. I got married in 1995 to Michael who is a high school teacher and coach at Coldwater High School. I got my Masters In Education from Spring Arbor University in 1998. In 1999 we lost our daughter, Rachel, during my seventh month of pregnancy. We were unsuccessful at getting pregnant again after many years so in 2007 we became licensed Foster Parents. We enjoyed being foster parents to two newborn girls on two different occasions during 2007-2008. In May, Mallory was born and she has brought such joy and love to our family. I am now working part time so I can be home with Mallory during the afternoon. In addition, we stay busy with the children/youth and small group ministry programs at our church.
