After HS I went to Drake U. and eventually graduated in 1975 with a B Ed.
Married that summer and moved to Michigan. Got a 3rd grade teaching job, and a Masters in Ed from Michigan State.
Moved back to KC where I taught at Rockhurst College and worked on my Doctorate, but had a baby instead of a dissertation. We have lived in California, Minnesota, Washington and Oregon. I've worked in education and the non-profit world, but also found time to continue riding horses. Was given a horse as a wedding present and she went with us as we moved around. Loved 3-day events, fox hunting and rode in many national horse shows. I eventually donated her to a riding program for special needs children.
