John Pihlblad

I have lived on the east coast (NYC area), west coast (San Diego), Denver and Chicago. For the last 18 years I have been in Des Moines, Iowa. At this point in my life I am extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to grow up in KC in the Southwest District. The people , the urban culture and the education prepared me for life's challenges and I have had a few. My dearest friends and those to whom I am close to in life are mostly my HS friends.

college: Westminster. Majors: Philosophy and Sociology
graduate school: UMKC: Economics
Have been in investment management business as an institutional portfolio manager for over 35 years (and still standing).

Not much to tell here. I didn't participate in as many sports as I would have liked. I was in the bottom have of the class in GPA. But I had a great time, made great memories and made friends that have lasted a life time.
