Retired in 2010 from the Feds, consulted for a few years and then focused on making stuff (furniture, copper sculpture, flower vases, etc, etc) from wood, copper, steel, fiberglass, plastic, concrete, leather, anything I can get my hands on- and loving it!! In hindsight, I struggled so much in my professional life worrying about this and that - not being good enough, losing my job, yada, yada, yada. Fifteen years divorced, I've found a wonderful partner to spend the rest of my life with. I never believed that being 70, despite all the aches and pains ( just recovering from a back operation and a broken rib!) could have possibly been so wonderful and full of joy.
