Upon graduation I attended Appalachian for 2 years. I then enlisted in the US Army. After a 3 year tour of duty I came home and married Phillip Reed (1969). We had 2 children. I attended WSSU with my VA benefits and received a BS in Accounting. I then went to work as an accountant for Piedmont Airlines. I was an International Sales accounting supervisor for USAir until I was retired on disability. I love to read, travel, ride in my 71 VW convertible and play with my chocolate lab. I have 5 grandchildren. I am also a peer support advocate for persons with service dogs.
