Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments

Since 1989, I have attended ETSU and received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and I went on to receive a Master's Degree in Counseling. I have worked as a school counselor now for 9 years at Andrew Jackson Elementary School (some of you may have went to Jackson back in the day). My husband (who is also a school counselor at Volunteer High School) and I have been married for 16 years. In 2001, we adopted three wonderful children (all brothers) who at the time were six, seven and nine years old at the time. Now, we have three teenaged boys who keep us very busy! Time has really flown and I cannot believe that our 20 year reunion is coming up!! My kids think I have no clue what it's like to be a teenager and I TRY to convince them that it hasn't been that long since I have been in high school BUT with our 20 year coming up, they consider me way out of touch!:) I look forward to seeing all of my former (notice I didn't say "old") high school friends. I still see Julie Wright (Short) regularly and occasionally, I run into some of you (some of you are parents to children at my school). Anyway, I hope to see you all in October!

School Story

One of my favorite school stories was in driver's ed. Julie Wright Short and I drove in "car #3". I had met my now husband, Buddy, and my mother had grounded me from seeing him (I showed her a thing or two, didn't I?). Julie was in a relationship that wasn't going too well at the time and we were both driving around the parking lot, crying at the same time about our troubles. I couldn't see and from the tower, I think it was Coach Walton who started screaming at us, "Car #3!! WAtch those cones!" I couldn't even see the cones for all of my tears. His screaming was interuppting our talking, so we changed the channel to the radio. He came out of that tower and made us run laps around the parking lot. We still talk about that from time to time, along with other stories from ballgames and after school get togethers. I wouldn't change a thing about High School!!
