Class Leadership

After the death of Frank Flynn, the leadership and activity, interest, and interaction of our class has seemed to flounder and lose any sort of connection and interest. It is common as Classmates or their spouses age that the numbers seem to be less at any class functions.

Few seem to want to devote time to calling, sending emails, keeping an updated class list or do any sort of planning or helping to plan any activities.

We have slowly had a decline in monthly luncheons until this month there were only 4 classmates in attendance. Those were Jimmy Ball, Don Everence, Dottie & Jack Carris.

I understand that before they left that Jackie Monteith dropped by to say "Hi" as he had a prior committment.

Could and WILL some of you please post any ideas on what you think can possibly be done to remedy this lack of interest in anything EHS Class of 1956??

I was asked by several people to start up another Website that we could stay in contact and a way to have announcements, and class news distributed in an easy and fast way. We could post ideas and each classmate would have a means to communicate with another classmate..........even if they did not know their address or phone number and had somehow, over the years lost contact with each other.

And, I was wiling to give it another try. It has been a little over two years and although I have had an active readership, there has been much less communication than I had ever dreamed. Oh, some have written me personally with ideas, complains, material to share..........but almost NO ONE has communicated online in any way!

This I find very sad. We spent some very magicial years sharing our lives together. Years that our children and grandchildren will never have the opportunity to experience because of the many changes in the American Lifestyle.

Because I have talked at length to many of you and have worked with you in various ways and I have tried to communicate ideas and ways that we can interact and share those precious memories I feel disappointed I guess that others do not share that same passion for keeping and sharing those memories.

Watch the website as I will be sharing some further ideas over the weekend.

Much love to all........
