July 2014: Since our last reunion life took another big turn, and attended seminary and started my journey toward hospital chaplaincy, with a denominational endorsement via ELCA. (That is the short version of the story.) Currently, I am finishing up a year-long Chaplain residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and will officially graduate August 7th, and return to Dubuque, IA where I have been attending Wartburg Theological Seminary. I will finish my Masters degree in Diaconal Ministry, graduating May 2015 while also working as a staff chaplain at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque.
Sorry I will miss seeing everyone that gathers for the 25th class reunion this year. It has been great keeping up with a few of you via Facebook, and I hope to see you in the future around La Crescent or elsewhere.
