Comments:

Sadly, I moved out of the LaPalma area the evening of graduation. After a long recovery from the major surgery I had during our senior year of HS, I moved to Fountain Valley and worked for the Huntington Beach High School District. I married my hubby in 1983 in the Huntington Beach area. Keith's career brought us to the Antelope Valley. I stayed home to raise our two wonderful children. I then returned to college and employment.
Our daughter is attending grad school at Azusa Pacific University. Our son is starting his third year at UCLA.
Now that our children have had a taste of life outside of this desert, neither plans to make their home out here (smart kids).
I think I cried through my first two years out here and still dream of moving back near the ocean. This is not to say that these have been unhappy years. Far from that---I have a fantastic life, the best hubby in the world, and wonderful friends.
I just miss O.C. living--like safe bike lanes everywhere, the beach, overcast cool mornings, not being blown away by gale-force winds, evening walks on the pier. We sure were spoiled. I could get almost everywhere I wanted on my bicycle.
Hey--anyone else from Kennedy live out here?

School Story:

I was extremely shy in HS. I was afraid of almost everyone, especially guys.
I enjoyed learning and still do. I was on the Dance Team, but secretly hoped no one would come to our performances.
I really enjoyed going to the beach with friends like Cindi, Evie, Cindy, Carol, and others. In the last couple years, Karen and I became the best of friends (and still are).
I loved long-distance running (until a tumor was discovered that consumed my right heel) and biking. Every chance I got I rode my 10-speed along the coast of Southern Cali. Often I ended my days with buying one of those yummy pickles from Knott's. One time, an officer pulled me over(on my bike) for possession of weed. He was embarassed when he discovered that it was a wrapped pickle that I had put in my bike seat pouch. Funny memory--I was pulled over for possession of a pickle!!!
