Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard for Cindy Reed Breaux, age 53, who died on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart of Jesus Mausoleum in Broussard. Reverend William Ruskoski, Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Karen Broussard will sing for the services. Survivors include her husband, James Breaux; two sons, Sean Snelson and Seth Reed; one grandson, Brylon Snelson; her parents, William Joseph Reed and the former, Priscilla Cormier; two brothers, Billy Reed and Keel Reed and one sister, Cherie Lyons. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Henry Reed and Lucille Florie Reed; maternal grandparents, Percy Cormier and Cecile Courville Cormier; her uncle, Murphy Cormier and an infant brother, William Reed Jr. Cindy Reed Breaux is an inspiration, the present tense is necessary because Cindy will continue to inspire her loved ones even after her tragic passing. She left this world on May 31, 2016 surrounded by loved ones who were inspired by her fight and will to live. Cindy left many marks on the world before she left, she blazed a trail of success through the business world, and she blessed those she didn't know with kind smiles and actions while prompting her loved ones to do the same. Her greatest passion however was her family. She was an incredible wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Every person who had the gift of being able to know Cindy owes her a debt. Not because she demands it, but because her legacy demands it, and debt due is love. Go out and love your friends, family and fellow man the way she loved hers. That is Cindy's imprint on the world. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Friday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday 9:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home by Voorhies Short. The family would like to express their appreciation to Our Lady of Lourdes ICU Staff in Lafayette, Louisiana and The Cancer Center of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
