Hello fellow Rams! I hope you all are doing well. After graduating from LMHS I attended Anderson College in South Carolina on a soccer scholarship. I then received my Bachelors degree as well my Masters degree in communicative disorders specializing in speech and language pathology at the University of Central Florida. My husband and I were introduced by Laurie Tabor(Leiffer)! Thank you Laurie. Stan and I were married in January 1996. Our son Alek is 11 and Lauren is a very active 3. I am currently working at Altamonte Elementary School and loving it. Children are such joys.
UPDATE 8-1-08: We just moved to Davidson, NC. The weather is just fantastic. If you are ever in the area don't hesitate to call or email me.
UPDATE 9-25-08 Our little Lauren has just been diagnosed with type 1, insulin dependent, diabetes. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. If you have any advice or words of hope I would love to hear them.
UPDATE 3-10-09 Lauren is doing so well these days since being diagnosed with diabetes. She unfortunately gets her finger, or toes, pricked eight times a day. She receives her insulin from a syringe 6 times a day. She is such a trooper, the pricks and shots don't even phase her anymore. It has become a new normal for her. Her glucose is much more stable and within the expected range of 80 to 160. She will hopefully be receiving her insulin pump this coming April. Wish us luck with that. Once she receives her pump she will be ready to start PK this coming August. Yeah!! She can't wait to get back to school. Thank you for all the well wishes!!
