Yes, I remember it being later in 1989 as well. I grew up with Shane, went to Rock lake and used to joke around with him all the time- he was a great guy.
I had a weight lifting class with him. We would just listen to music and laugh. I loved seeing him at the beach. He was such a nice guy. When he passed away I had to drive by the tree they hit. I said a prayer for him each time. He is missed.
I will never forget the night when he passed. It was also his parent's 25th anniversary, I think. I remember going with Shane Lunsford and man it was a tough day.... Always will remember him! :)

I think the date provided is incorrect. I pulled the obituary summary from the Orlando Sentinel and found that Shane died Sep. 26, 1989.Shane was a good guy... I had a lot of laughs with him in Food Production senior year.

He was my friend, I was there that night. so sad.
