Mona Holzschuh Burtz

I lived in Plant City from 1980 to 2003 when I moved back to Lakeland. My husband and I are co-owners of MJ Innovative Solutions, an internet marketing firm specializing in web design, social media, and email marketing. As a business owner, I am involved in the Lakeland community. It's good to be home again!

I graduated from Florida Southern College in 1988 and my daughter just graduated from there as a third-generation legacy.

I also graduated from Webster University with an MBA in 2003.

I'll admit I'm enjoying the empty nest years! We have a long-haired dachshund named Ladybug who is our "baby." I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, quilting, and activities at our church (All Saints' Episcopal in downtown Lakeland).

Truthfully, high school wasn't a fun time for me. I much preferred my years at Combee Elementary, Crystal Lake Elementary, and Crystal Lake Junior High. I participated in the early admissions program and spent most of my senior year at PCC taking college classes.

I fondly remember my friends and my first job at the Lakeland Public Library. I hated having to eat lunch in our classrooms.
