During Senior year, the band was playing American Overture, a famous piece for French Horns. The very last note of the piece has a unison high B for the horns. I as first chair was the only one with the cojones to attempt that note, and as luck would have it I only got to B flat! For that I was awarded the prestigious "bombs away" award for the most outstanding and spectacular wrong note of the year.
