Richard Irish

Richard O. Irish, Mesa, AZ, and Houghton Lake, died Nov. 9, 2006, after an extended illness. Mr. Irish was born in Lansing in 1937 to the late Dorr B. and Lyla (Lee) Irish. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Norma; brother, Donald Irish and his wife Kay; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; eight children; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren (some of these children were his step-children, but they thought of him as their father). Mr. Irish was a devoted Christian and spent many years singing in the church choir with his wife at the Baptist church they attended in Mesa, AZ. The family extended its appreciation to Houghton Lake Baptist Church, Pastor Stephen Milam, friends and neighbors who were so kind to them.
