Donald LeRoy Bateman
Donald LeRoy Bateman of Lansing was born on August 30, 1939 to Donald W. and Josephine (Hickman) Bateman and died Sunday September 25, 2011 at the age of 72. He was a 1957 graduate of Lansing Eastern High School and worked for Diamond Reo. He retired from Realmark Property Management. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Brenda Lee and grandson Wesley Long. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria; daughter Cindy (Tod) Finch; sons Donald C. (Nancy), Brian (Tina), Dennis (Tracee), Buzz (Carla), and Jerry Bateman; stepdaughters; Angie (Ronnie) Mullins, Lorie (Jeff) Hieber; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brothers Alvin (Jean) Hickman, Jim (Peggy) Bateman, Phil (MaryLou) Bateman, Gene (Judy) Bateman; brother-in-law Duane (Lynn) Eubanks; numerous nieces and nephews and former wife Ella Conroy. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with Pastor Marc Livingston officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice Advantage, 801 S.
