CUMMINGS, ELDON WESLEY

Eldon Wesley Cummings, Sr., August 6, 1938 - September 16, 2018. Born to Eldon H. and Tillie A. Cummings in Coleman, MI., he graduated high school then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Once he completed his tour of duty, Eldon was able to complete post-graduate work to be an ordained minister of faith in the Congregational Church of Christ, attending University of Chicago Divinity and Andover Newton School of Divinity.

He felt a strong sense of stewardship during his life on Earth. He leaves three brothers, Ernest, Al, and Jay; his children, Eldon Sr., and Evelyn, as well as five grandchildren. There are many cousins, nieces, and nephews and his extended families of A.A. and the Fountain Street Church.

A celebration of life will be led by Rev. Wooden on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon, also to be held at Fountain Street Church, 24 Fountain Street NE, Grand Rapids, MI.
