Norbert R. Janes, 65, of Tempe Arizona died at home on Saturday, October 16, 2004. Norbert was born June 21, 1939 in Logan, Utah to Ray Low and Venna Aulean Janes. He spent his life in service to his family, church, community and country. Norbert served a mission in Mexico for his church, then served in the United States Air Force as a pilot during the Viet Nam War. He had an extensive business career, and most recently worked with America West Airlines. He is survived by his wife, Lucile; five children and spouses: Edward S. Janes, and wife Shanie; Douglas R. Janes, and wife Lonette; Russell L. Janes; Annette Janes; and Deborah Janes, soon to be Mrs. Geoffrey R. Beatty, five grandsons, two granddaughters and two sisters, Marsha and Karen. A viewing will be held Friday, October 22, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald Mesa, Arizona. Services will be on Saturday, October 23, at 10 a.m. with a viewing from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Tempe Stake Center, 2707 S. College Ave., Tempe. Graveside service will be in Snowflake, Arizona at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
