David James Parker

November 21, 1939 - December 04, 2015

Got off the train of life on Friday, December 4, 2015 at age 76 with his loving family at his bedside. His stepdaughter, Janeen Christensen Lance, with her insight from years of working with people during their final act of living gave him the best care he could have had along with the help of Sparrow Hospice Services.

Born in Lansing, Michigan to Edward and Mary Ellen-Peltier Parker.

David graduated from Lansing Eastern High School and dedicated the next 28 years to the U.S. Air Force. During which time he was a corpsman, chief pharmacist and ended his career in East Lansing as an officer recruiter out of MSU.

He loved to hunt and draw with pen & ink. David, along with his father and brother, Clayton, were past Worshipful Masters of Masonic Lodge 66. Leaving

the train before David were Clyde Starr, Lyla Starr, Clayton Starr, his parents and his stepdaughter, Regina Christensen.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Starr) Parker; son, Dana (Mary Ann) Parker; 5 step-children, Sharon Luke (Trevor) Downes, Kevin Luke, Gary Luke, Michael (Kim Werschem) Christensen, Janeen (Jeff) Lance; 9 grandchildren; very special brother-in-law, Bruce Starr; sister-in-law, Donnis (Ivan) Kerr; brother-in-law, Vernon (Jeannette) Starr as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced in the spring.
