In Memory

(June) Tony Quintieri

Tony Frank Quintieri

1938 - 2018

Lansing - On July 2, 2018 after a 20-year battle with Parkinson’s, our father passed in his own bed peacefully surrounded by family and friends.

Tony went to Resurrection School and graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1957. He also attended Lansing Community College.

Tony worked for Diamond Reo, and later retired from General Motors as a journeyman millwright and fixture repair.

His hobbies included square dancing, clowning (he was a professional clown as a hobby), hunting and fishing. He loved fishing at Houghton Lake where he built our cottage and was the place we spent summers and weekends. He played football all through school and then with the Lansing All Stars for 8 plus years. Football was his passion. We grew up watching him practice and play. We all watched football with him right up until his last game.

We will see you again, buona fortuna Nanu.

He is survived by: Mary Quintieri (Wife), Tony Quintieri (Son) and wife Karin Adsit Quintieri, Tamara Quintieri Russell (daughter) and husband Steve Russell, Terri Fox (Daughter) and husband Chris Fox, Tamara Brandimore (granddaughter) and husband Ryan Brandimore, Steven Russell (grandson), Frances Fox (granddaughter), Kimberly Quintieri (granddaughter), Mary (Katie) Russell (granddaughter), Sophia Brandimore (great-granddaughter), Greyson Brandimore (great-grandson), Adilynn Mahieu (great-granddaughter).

The viewing will be Sunday July 8, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at Tiffany’s Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday July 9th, 2018 starting at 11 am, located at Mount Hope Church, Garden Prayer Chapel on Creyts Road. A luncheon will follow at the church.
