Valerie Trejo Gusdorf

Graduated from NMSU in 1995 with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education. I worked at an elementary school in Sunland Park, NM until 1998, when we moved to Farmington, NM. I've worked as a Special Ed teacher, a Gifted Ed teacher, 2nd grade and currently an assistant principal.

My best memories are of my best friends, Veronica Escalante, Lupe Rios, Olga Chavez & Kim Borunda cruising up and down El Paseo. We'd turn at the Sonic at one end and Der Wienerschnitzal at the other end. Also we'd park at the dirt lot where now there is a bunch of stores. Can you remember when there were empty dirt lots on El Paseo?! I also remember when El Paseo was getting widened and most of it was just down to 2 lanes and you could slap hands with the person driving the other direction. Also, one time we were at Adolph's and my little yellow Toyota Corolla got stuck in the sand. A bunch of people gathered around it and BOUNCED it out of the sand pit! Those were fun times!
