I lived in Austin,TX from 1999-2003. Other than that, I have been at the same address my whole life... just in a different part of the house now. I rent the apartment downstairs. My parents are awesome landlords! They are retired. My brother and his wife live in Prairie Village. I really enjoy being close to my family. I work at the Kansas City Cancer Center. My title is PRN Administrative Float- which means that I do about 6 different jobs, and I float to about 6 different clinics in the metro area, filling in for people, as needed, when they are on vacation or are ill. I do anything that is not clinical. I meet a lot of people, and never get bored! The position was created specifically for me, because I am also a singer, and I travel about once a month with my music. I write and sing original music, and go by the name "Little Rachel". (http://www.littlerachel.net) It is similar to 1950's-era rhythm and blues- like Little Richard or early Etta James. When I lived in Austin, I sang with another girl, and we released two rockabilly CDs under the name "The Casey Sisters" on a Swedish label. My music has taken me to some exciting places, and I have released 3 CDs as Little Rachel. One was recorded in Austin with Texas musicians, one was recorded in Barcelona with Spanish musicians, and one was recorded in Helsinki with Finnish musicians! I am extremely grateful to have a job and living situation that allows me to pursue my dream of playing music around the world. Now, I am working on a project with my fella. He plays guitar and sings for a band called the "Rum Drum Ramlers" (http://www.myspace.com/rumdrumramblers) It is great that we can share our love for music together. We share our love for traveling anywhere to hear live music, as well. Travelling is one of my favorite pastimes, as well as spending time with my family and friends. I collect vintage clothing and housewares, and I have a black cat named Darla- because she is a "Little Rascal". I have never, and do not plan on having any children any time soon. I have never been married. I am planning on moving in with my man in Saint Louis in November 2010. That pretty much sums me up. Feel free to ask if you want to know anything else.
