"Alan was an awesome man. He was a wonderful husband, father and spiritual leader of his family. He was just a fun guy to be around. We met in 1984 and were married in 1987. Best friends. We have two children – a daughter 22 and a son 19.
You probably remember Alan as a drummer in the band. He had fond memories of playing in the Rose Bowl. He was also an OEA member/officer (Office Education). I remember hearing quite a few stories about all the fun he had with that group.
Alan had two degrees from the University of North Texas – Marketing and Computer Information Systems. He worked at Texas Instruments for the majority of his career as a Computer Specialist.
He spent nearly ten years coaching little league baseball. He was also a Life Group Leader/Teacher in our bible study small group for many years. In his spare time, he was an avid reader reading several books a week. He also loved watching baseball on TV and occasionally out at the Ballpark. (He was a big Texas Rangers fan.)
Alan enjoyed spending time with his family. He made us a priority. And because of that, our children each had an awesome relationship with their dad and have wonderful memories to treasure. It was truly a blessing to love and be loved by Alan Callaway."
