attended Transylvania University. While there I joined Phi Mu fraternity and played on the softball team (protecting third base). Earned my BA in elementary education. Married Dirk the summer after graduation and moved to Ft. Wayne where I got my first "real" job as a fourth grade teacher. From there, due to cut backs, I found a new job with the Educational Opportunity Center, which gave me the luxury of working with kids from 5th grade to 12th grade. I changed jobs one more time to get to my current position. I accepted a Montessori teaching position that involves me working with a class of 25 students who range from age 6 to 9 (first to third grade). I moved to Detroit two summers ago to complete my summer long training and have been here for two crazy, but fulfilling years. I found out last June that I was pregnant and Dirk and I were blessed with our little boy, Braylon James Hansen, on February 13 of this year. Things have been incredibly busy, but LIFE IS GOOD!
