John Fredsall

I first worked for a number of Farm Equipment dealers after graduation for 12 years. When it was apparent that farming was going extinct in Ct, I started a excavating business with my brother David known as Joda Excavation. We operated the business for 30 years when an opportunity opened up with the Town of Harwinton. I became the Town's Highway Supervisor in 2002 and just recently retired from that position.

I joined the Harwinton Volunteer Fire Department in April of 1970 and have been an active member for nearly 50 years. I held nearly every officers position in the department including 20 years as the Chief of the Department.

I got married to a great lady in May of 1973. We have two beautiful daughters, Kirsten and Angela. We live in the same house I grew up here in Harwinton. We just celebrated our 46 anniversary.

Not being from Warren, Morris or Goshen as I was enrolled in Agriculture program at Wamogo, I'm sure I won't remember very many of my classmates as those of you who went to school together for many years will. It makes me a little apprehensive about attending this reunion so I haven't decided if we will attend. I liked Wamogo and enjoyed the time I was there. I have some fond memories of my friends that I made there but I must be honest I haven't been able to keep up with very many of my classmates.
