Linda Porter Jones

Started UALR after graduation and finally got my bachelor's degree in 1984. Married Elijah Jones, Jr. (class of 1977) in June 1983. Worked for the State Department Department of Education from 1980 - 1987; started working at Little Rock School District in 1987 and retired on disability in 2011. Divorced Elijah Jones, Jr. in 2013 (sad face). Currently working on my Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Grand Canyon University. With God's grace and mercy, will graduate in the Spring 2021. Did this for me. Other than that, I try to attend my 8 grandkids' various activities and maintain life and all the challenges and pleasures it brings. Turned 60 September 2, 2020. Thank you Jesus!

I remember one field day or whatever we called it back then where I participated in the sack race. I took two jumps and fell flat on my face in front of basically the entire school.

Another time, it was Homecoming Week and we had to dress up as little kids. I wore this dress with a wide petticoat - so cute. I was in Chemistry class and when I walked down the isle, my petticoat bumped into this table and knocked over all these breakable containers that I had to pay for.
