School Story:
I was in the middle of so much crap, it is difficult to know where to start...
I still remember, like it was yesterday:
"Good morning students, teachers and staff". For the longest time I thought this was a premade recording and not a real person. You know, like a tape you could buy at the bookstore.
After a fine meal in the school cafeteria, nothing prepared a man better for higher learning than having a marlboro light, and setting the trash can on fire. And of course, the entire office staff would run out and peer into the garbage can, as if this exercise was really necessary to confirm the presence of flames inside the barrel...
Overall, everyday was fun for me. I constantly found myself in the principal's office because I refused to keep quiet when a teacher was solving math equations incorrectly on the overhead...or when the right to have an opinion was being challenged in some manner.
All the trouble was worth it me. It made me appreciate education a whole lot more when I was paying for it, and made me a better leader.
Good times.
