Working! After high school, I attended Hendrix College and the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, where I finished by BA and MA in English lit. I worked as an editor for a few years and then became a middle school English teacher. I earned a second master's degree in education in early 2003 from Stephen F. Austin State University. I also worked part time as a faculty member of the University of Phoenix.
I've lived in Dallas, Minneapolis, and now San Antonio. I have just completed my EdD in Curriculum and Instruction. I teach both online and on ground communications and literature courses, and I stay busy with three kids. They are all teenagers, so keep us in your thoughts. :)
My current position is a curriculum developer for Laureate International. I also work as adjunct faculty in communications and literature for various institutions.
My parents and brothers still live in Arkansas, but I haven't lived there since 1995. We absolutely love San Antonio...we've gotten into kayaking, hiking, and the local music scene in the short time we've been here.
We have recently gotten into sailing, and our once the children are all graduated and on their own is to sell everything, buy a sailboat, and sail around the world.
